Meet Natalie Fuller, D.M.A.

PAIR’s Founder & Executive Director

Natalie Fuller made Rochester her home by way of Eastman School of Music, earning a master’s degree in trumpet performance and Doctor of Musical Arts Degree. She and her husband, Brighton native Karl Stabnau, founded in 2021 Innovation Arts Management, the managing entity for the 700-seat The Theater at Innovation Square in downtown Rochester.

As an instructor and professor, Fuller maintains a private studio and teaches at SUNY Brockport, Rochester Institute of Technology, and Eastman Community Music School. She also worked with Rochester International Jazz Festival in support of education and outreach.

Fuller continues to develop her own trumpet method, music theory workbook, and curriculum for music programs in the area. She has served as head of brass at Montana State University and holds the position of Assistant Principal/second trumpet with the Regina Symphony. In Rochester she performs with her band PopStyle.

Fuller’s honors and awards include finishing in the top three for three consecutive years at the American National Trumpet Competition; earning the highest mark in Canada for the Associate of the Royal Conservatory of Music; and winning the gold medal in the brass division of the Canadian Music Festival.

The journey to founding PAIR

The original intent for opening The Theater at Innovation Square was to provide a stage for the local performing arts community. However, Natalie Fuller and Stabnau have learned over time — from a front-row seat —that most of the Rochester area performing arts organizations are not able to present their work without financial assistance. Another challenge is a lack of theater space to rent throughout the community.

To elevate the region’s performing arts, Fuller is now focused solely on PAIR, a 501(c)(3) organization. The Theater at Innovation Square will serve as a partner space, staging a variety of productions supported by PAIR and generous donors. For corporate donors and financial supporters looking to support the performing arts, PAIR provides a reliable, transparent pathway that directly supports impactful and entertaining projects.
