FIVE STAR BANK SERIES
Presented by PAIR

We are thrilled to announce the
Five Star Bank Series presented by PAIR!
Featuring local artists who have been chosen through an application process, the shows will be presented at PAIR's partner space, The Theater at Innovation Square, between January and August 2026.
Applications are being accepted now through Dec. 31, 2025 (11:59 p.m.).
These events at The Theater would not be possible without the generous support of Five Star Bank. We are especially excited to announce that this is a matching campaign, which will make individual donations of any size go even further in supporting the arts in Rochester.
"We are thrilled to support PAIR and the inspiring artists who will share their talents and creativity with our Rochester community through the Five Star Bank Series presented by PAIR. As a local community bank, we seek to support cultural initiatives and create opportunities for the communities we serve.”
— Martin Birmingham
President and CEO of Five Star Bank
Details
Applications are encouraged from established and emerging performing arts groups, including theater companies, dance organizations, musical groups, and individual artists presenting collaborative work throughout the Rochester area.
While each program will differ in scope, PAIR intends to assist artists with essential needs in presenting their work, including venue rental, staffing costs, marketing, and technical production. In addition to having some of those financial barriers removed, the PAIR-supported performing arts organizations will be able to keep the profits from their ticket sales.
The winning applicants will work with theater staff to determine appropriate production needs, ticketing prices and other show details. The performing organization retains ticket revenue and the theater retains ticketing fees. Ticketing for the events will be hosted on The Theater at Innovation Square's website and marketing will include newsletters to theater subscribers and advertisements on theater screens.
Additional show costs are the responsibility of the performer. These include elements such as equipment, production staff, outside marketing, hospitality, costumes/sets, etc. paid marketing (expected as part of the budget to be submitted). Depending on need and availability, in-house production and backline may be discussed on a case-by-case basis. Theatrical applicants, please note that there is limited wing space and no fly system at The Theater, also space is limited for pit orchestra.
Applicants should be prepared to show:
-
Description of show and history of organization
-
Financial need for assistance in renting a venue for their performance
-
Event budget (including marketing spends, production, etc.)
-
Evidence of past audiences exceeding 100 people
